Famous novelist Giles De'Ath (Hurt) stumbles upon the "C" movie, Hot Pants College 2, where he first sees teen idol Ronnie Bostock (Priestley). Obsession quickly follows as Mr. De'Ath travels through the pages of American teen magazines to the misty shores of Long Island. Once there, a planned "chance" encounter with Ronnie's girlfriend Audrey (Loewi) leads first to dinner, and then days walking along the shore discussing a creative merger between De'Ath and Bostock. A friendship based on different agendas develops and someone is sure to get hurt. Unrequited love has never been depicted quite like this.
Rated PG-13 for brief strong language, thematic elements and some sexual content.
